There, I’ve said it! It’s out. There really is no denying it, Christmas is coming. It may only be October and there may still be leaves on the trees, but it’s coming.
I love Christmas time. The crackle of logs on a roaring fire, the evenings spent wrapping hand-picked presents for loved ones, crisp morning walks through freshly fallen snow. It’s a time to allow yourself some rest, to spend quality time with family, to eat good food and drink great wine – there is nothing not to love!
And I’m not alone. While I’m sure some of you are appalled that I’m using the C word so early in the year, others are just as giddy as I am. In fact, some are ready to get into the Christmas spirit right along with me.
Like these two! A pair of beautiful little angels who wouldn’t look out of place atop a Christmas tree, I spent a wonderful morning capturing a variety of Wintery images of these sisters in a special Christmas photoshoot. We used neutral backdrops with some of my favourite decorations, and added a few hints of red. I think we got a great balance between capturing the holiday spirit, without turning my Earlsfield, London studio into an elves workshop.
These sisters were a pleasure to photograph, their smiles lit up the room. They even brought along a few little friends to share the special memories – although not shown here, monkey and rabbit were also very good at sitting for their photos.
