As the nights begin to draw in and I have the internal battle of how soon is ‘too soon’ to switch on my central heating, I can’t help but feel that our wonderfully long summer has come to an abrupt end.
I’m from Poland originally, so I’m used to cold, snowy winters, but autumn has always been trickier for me. It isn’t quite cold enough to bring out the fluffy jumpers and drink hot chocolate all day, but it isn’t quite warm enough for popping to she shop without putting on additional layers. It’s certainly not my favourite time of year, that was until…
This little bundle of cuteness arrived at my Earlsfield studio for a seasonal newborn photoshoot. I was able to bring out some of my snuggliest fabrics for this session, and just looking back at these photos makes me feel cosy! Scarves, woolly hats and shaggy rugs, if that doesn’t defrost you, nothing will!
We played around with the furry teddy fabrics a little and came away with a very cute collection of photos indeed. One of my favourites being this little bear number.
Although I’m yet to commit to turning on my heating at home, a benefit of being a London photographer is that I’m lucky enough to have a fabulous heating system in my Earlsfield studio. For newborn photo sessions, I ensure that the heating is always on, in order to keep the tiniest of toes nice and warm. I think the parents and I rather enjoy it too when the weather outside is as miserable as this!
If you’re expecting an autumn or winter baby this year, have you considered having a seasonal newborn photoshoot? It’s a fantastic way to capture the first weeks of your baby’s life. I have a few slots remaining for 2018 and am already booking up into early 2019, so get in touch if you’d like to discuss your options. As well as serving Earlsfield and Wandsworth, I work with clients in the greater South and South West London areas. Make your booking today – I’ll have the heating on and hot chocolate at the ready!
